Christian Politics
I spent Saturday night discussing politics with Alan and Steven. Despite my contempt with political powers and the way things are done, I love the discussion because it is from the conservative Christian perspective. I enjoy discussing things like modernism, postmodernism, hypermodernism (thought this isn't a term commonly described in this age, it refers to the idea that the "gods" of old have failed us and we as "gods incarnate" need to make the world in our own image). While hypermodernism is a boldface lie, it is necessary to discuss it in order to effectively evangelize and witness against it.
With the presidential debates fresh on our minds, it fast became clear what we would discuss. John Kerry would no doubt slap terrorism on the wrist and let the terrorists wreak more havoc. Kerry talked about a "global test" and I hope this doesn't mean the U.N. After, all the U.N. just wants to place more sanctions than to get involved. If Kerry allowed France and Germany into Iraq for example, France and Germany would divide this country up to satisfy their debts. While this sounds like heresy now, I have no doubt this would occur shortly after presidency. I'm also sure N. Korea would launch a preemptive strike against the US under Kerry's command. Remember way back when when N. Korea said that the US isn't the only country to have the right of a preemptive strike?
Israel always seems to be at the center of strife where international politics are concerned. And while they way Israel proceeds in its war against terror seems to bring about condemnation, contempt, and a general outcry, they are by far the best free country and foremost authority on the routing of terrorism. Given the power of extrajudicial killings (condemned by the UN btw) in how well it limits the activities and effectiveness of terrorist organizations, we should be implementing these policies worldwide for any terrorist nation or nation harboring terrorism.
What has extrajudicial killings revealed? In short, they seem to reveal that top ranking terrorist leaders are cowards, afraid of death and martyrdom. They send out the young to die for a "glorious cause" usually called shahada (death for allah). Why don't they die for allah? With a lull in shahada, the IDF seems to be making great strides in routing terrorism wherever it rear its ugly head.
