Eric's mother died late last week and I went to her funeral yesterday. It was sad to see her lifeless body in that casket and it almost looked like a giant barbie doll. It was especially hard to see a body that was not breathing. Cliff Sr., Eric's dad didn't recognize me, but that's ok. He really appreciated me coming. I told him that they were in my prayers since that's all I can offer. I wish I could have done more at the time, but he was really appreciative of that.
On a side note, I may have found a job at Richland College working in the audio/visual dept. At this point in time, work is work, and I'm appreciative of anything right now. It'll help cover some bills but we'll still be dependent on agencies I hate, like foodstamps, for the bulk of things we need. I hadn't been able to look for work on the 7 weeks prior since Melissa had been sick. This will be welcome income for us and it'll help me get my data protection and recovery service going.
Hurricane Katrina has devastated New Orleans and we've all seen it on the news. I can't help but think the governor of NO did too little to ensure the safety of the people. Honestly, I think the National Guard should have been called up before the hurricane hit. Also, the mandatory evacuation should have started a few days earlier. With disease and pestilence the major concern now, evacuation must be accelerated at all costs. Since it is a disaster area and the evacuation is mandatory, anyone caught in NO after two weeks is considered trespassing and will be arrested and detained. It's also been long enough now for the 1st wave of disease laden mosquitos to start their onlsaught. Disease is about to be rampant in that area. I think that's about all I care to post about today.

Jimmy, I am so sorry about Eric's mom. I will also keep you in my prayers and hope that you get that job at Richland.
Love
