The Word of God is the Bread of Life.
The Spirit of God is the Water of Life.
Yet, no one talks about another essential that seems to be forgotten in this postmodern era, the Law of God. Every Sunday churches across the nation talk about our freedom in Christ. Yes this is a good topic but there is a failure to understand something more critical. We are naked. The law clothes us and yet because of our surety of salvation we disregard God's commandments to walk in nakedness. God's law is there to protect us. It's not just a law here or a law there, but the whole law. Much like a single strand of yarn doesn't keep us protected from the elements, but a whole garment made of many strands keeps us protected from the outside world. It's these garments that keep us warm at night and dry in the rain.

Without the barriers God sets to protect us, we would surely die.
