The Turkey That Doesn't Taste Like a Turkey

Does it bother anyone, just about every turkey I have ever seen has been 'enhanced' with a solution up to 8% of turkey broth, salt and spices? Does this mean without this solution, a turkey won't taste like a turkey? Why does a turkey need this solution? If you know let me know.

By the way, most chickens, whether whole or part have a solution up to 15% in the grocery stores as well.
