I would have written this last night, but I was pretty pissed. Still it has nothing to do with Melissa's treatment or care.

Here's the update:
Melissa's skin color has pretty much returned to normal. Her heartrate and blood pressure were much closer to normal. She looked a LOT better than she has the entire time she's been in the hospital. Her fever broke late last night and she was pretty cold. The staff put a heating blanket on the bed to keep her warm and she seemed to be getting more sleep. With the nutrients she's been getting in her IV she seems to have more energy. Her mineral counts are still low, calcium and magnesium, but they are on a steady increase towards normal. They said that once the magnesium gets to normal, everything else will start to self correct itself. It may be possible for her to have surgery today, but more than likely it will be on thursday or friday. We'll see. That's the update.
